tu l'as regardé la vidéo avant? sans déconner.... à part une musique de merde chantée dans les années 70 il est où le SM? elle est caché dans les scènes la bande annonce? c'est un message subliminal? sans blague...
t'aurais pu mettre l'interview de Dan Abnett ou autre mais ça non....ya des limites...

A tribute to the Sisters of Silence, or Silent Sisterhood, the militant arm of the Adeptus Astra Telepathica during the Great Crusade. For if we forget our past, then we shall have no future. They are not to be confused with being the female equivalent of the Adeptus Custodes, their role differs entirely. While they are no longer a visible fighting force among the Imperium, they could either have been disbanded or incorporated to the Inquisition. That, or they still man the Black Ships, ensuring the safe arrival of the thousands of psykers needed to sustain the Emperor. This tribute wasnt really planned as such but I found a few good pics and thought this would be a nice prelude to the Officio Assassinorum one Im eventually doing, and there is also a Tau tribute in the pipeline which will probably be up sooner unless I find some decent music for assassins. All in all, this is a smaller tribute leading up to a far greater, more epic one! I felt the music emphasises their sinister nature, being silent and all, they don't have much to say.

The Sisters of Silence are the militant arm of the Adeptus Astra Telepathica and are internally referred to as its Departmento Investigates. The Sisters of Silence have a long history (their organisation predates the Horus Heresy.) They are an all female order, in much the same way as the Adepta Sororitas; the major difference is that the sisters are all Blanks (Pariahs.)

Recruited from Untouchable stock, the Sisters are anathema to psykers. Their very presence disrupts psychic activity and they are presumed immune to most forms of psychic assault. The main purpose of the Sisters of Silence is therefore to seek out and apprehend psykers. As warrior-investigators they can be involved in all aspects of the capture and transportation of psychic individuals and can almost always be found among the crew of the Black Ships.

Each Sister swears an oath of silence known as the Oath of Tranquility upon being nominated for Sisterhood; before this, when they are novices; they are allowed to converse normally. Amongst their other duties novices sometimes act as interpreters between senior Sisters and other agents of the Imperium. Full Sisters converse in their own sign-language, but there is at least one example of them being conversant in other forms of sign-communication, such as Astartes battle-signage.

Sisters of Silence participated in some of the major actions of the Horus Heresy, including the defence of the Imperial Palace. They were perhaps most successful during the assault on Prospero, where a force of Sisters were deployed to provide specialised support for the attacking Space Wolves Legion. Due to their Untouchable nature, the Sisters were proof against the psychic attacks of the defending Thousand Sons Legion and provided a stable bulwark for the assault to be anchored upon.

The Grey Knights Tribute - "Angels and Daemons"

The Grey Knights are the legendary Chapter 666 - and although nominally a Chapter of the Astartes, they are in fact part of the Inquisition's Ordo Malleus, serving as the ordo's elite military forces. They were founded during the Second Founding, and are rumoured to have the most pure of all gene-stock. Each member of the chapter undergoes a gruelling and torturous selection process, and even once inducted, their harsh training regime is without equal. In battle, they move as an army of silver ghosts, surrounded by awe, and equipped to the teeth to deal with the worst foes that Chaos can raise to meet them. The Grey Knights hold a unique honour among the chapters of the Adeptus Astartes - in over ten thousand years of service, not a single one of their number has ever defected to Chaos.

Their armour is left unpainted, leaving the silver-grey of the ceramite exposed. This tradition is thought to have originated from their desire to lead lives of absolute purity. In contrast to this their armour is highly decorated, encrusted with protective symbols and engraved litanies.

The Imperial Navy Tribute

During the Great Crusade, both the Imperial Guard and Navy were originally a single organisation; the Imperial Army. Normally each Imperial Cruiser would have a single Guard Regiment assigned to it. Commanding Officers held command over both their regiment and the warship assigned to them, making a single warship tactically flexible and minimizing the losses in the event of the loss of a spaceship in the Warp.

During the Horus Heresy, however, it appeared that some regiments used the power at their disposal in order to forge empires for themselves in the fire of anarchy. This led to the eventual split between Guard and Navy, as Roboute Guilliman, Primarch of the Ultramarines Legion, wrote the Codex Astartes which ordered that spaceships will no longer be commanded by officers of the former Imperial Army (now Imperial Guard).

The Imperium is divided into five "Segmenta;" Solar, Obscurus, Pacificus, Tempestus and Ultima. Every ship of the Imperial Navy is assigned to one of these Segmenta, and falls under the command of the respective Lord High Admiral.

In turn, each Segmentum is divided into "sectors", regions of space that are generally cube-shaped and contain 8 million cubic light years of space. These sectors contain multiple sub-sectors, collections of star systems no more than twenty light years in radius. The ships of each Segmentum are divided amongst the sectors. These Battlefleets are assigned the task of safeguarding the sector they are assigned to, each Battlefleet is generally named after the sector it is assigned to (Battlefleet Gothic is located in the Gothic sector, Battlefleet Cadia is located in the Cadian sector, etc).

Each Battlefleet is assigned a number of cruisers and battleships, usually between fifty and seventy-five vessels. The Battlefleets are also assigned multiple squadrons of escort starships, and is also in command of a large number of transports, messenger craft, orbital defences, space platforms and system patrol vessels. The ships of a Battlefleet must constantly patrol their sector and fulfil a variety of roles; protect merchant shipping from pirates, transport Imperial Guard regiments to warzones, escort Adeptus Mechanicus Explorator fleets and provide orbital support for invading or defending armies.

Because of the vast space that requires policing, the Battlefleet is normally split into detachments consisting of one or two cruisers, accompanied by a squadron of escorts. If a particular situation is more than a detachment can handle, additional detachments are called in to reinforce.

On occasion, a Battlefleet can be formed to operate in a smaller area. Battlefleet Armageddon is assigned solely to the Armageddon sub-sector, and, prior to the Third War for Armageddon, was made up of four battleships, twenty-seven cruisers and thirty six squadrons of escorts. Battlefleet Solar is assigned specifically to the Solar System, and is primarily charged with defending the two holy worlds of Terra and Mars.
